Constellation Painting: Information for Customers
This document contains information of interest to customers and potential customers of Constellation Painting.
Specifically, it provides information around the painting process and sets out the terms and conditions under which work takes place. The document also describes the limited warranty which is provided to customers.
This document is provided to all customers at the time of estimate.
Customers are generally not limited to a particular paint dealer for their colour choices. Almost any existing sample or paint colour from any paint store can be matched.
Some products are not available in all colours.
Please be aware that it is not uncommon for very dark or very vibrant colours to exhibit poor washing and marking characteristics.
Constellation Painting will attempt to move your furniture if you do not do it yourself. However, some pieces are immobile or impractical to move. In that event an arrangement will be made with the customer regarding the piece.
Also, please note that although we do everything possible to assure that your possessions are kept safe during painting, we can not and do not take responsibility for damage to your possessions if we have to move them in order to paint.
Monday through Saturday are usual days of work. Arrangements may be made to work Sundays. Start times for interior and exterior work are by arrangement with property owner but are normally between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Due to the unpredictability of weather, it is not always possible to execute work during scheduled times. In those cases we accept no responsibility for cost or inconvenience incurred by the customer.
By engaging Constellation Painting, the customer agrees to be bound by the
following terms and conditions:
- The customer is completely and ultimately responsible for and will
pre-authorize the choice of type, colour, and sheen for all paint or paint-like
materials. In a case where the type, colour, or sheen of a material is
subsequently deemed unacceptable by the customer, the customer agrees to
compensate the company for all additional materials and labour beyond the
quoted amounts which are required to bring satisfaction to the
customer.
- Accounts become payable immediately after completion of services.
- Any claim regarding an invoice must be made in writing within fourteen
(14) days of receipt of invoice.
- Interest will be charged at a rate of 1.5% per month (19.56% per annum)
on overdue accounts. Accounts become overdue 30 days after receipt of invoice.
Constellation Painting warrants all surfaces (except for the specific exclusions listed below) against defects in application which cause premature failure of the product for a period of three (3)
years from the original date of work completion.
Damage to surfaces not caused by Constellation Painting is the responsibility
of the customer and is not covered under this warranty.
The performance of coatings may be warranted by their manufacturers but are not warranted by Constellation Painting.
The following are excluded from the limited warranty:
- Damage not caused by Constellation Painting
- Work for which the customer provided the product or materials
